My Take on Abortion

Posted June 6, 2009

What do you ask is abortion? In my way of summing it up, it’s murdering another human being because the parents got lazy. I believe in getting abortions 0.999999% of the time; that’s not even 1%. And why is it only that little bit or even a bit at all? Well there are times when an abortion seems fit, but for extreme conditions. 99.9% of the time it’s because the pregnant mother doesn’t want the responsibility of caring for it or raising a child. That’s not right.

So what “Extreme Conditions” are you talking about? Good question. When I say extreme, I mean extreme. For example, if the baby is risking life for the mother, if the mother can die because of the baby, or if the baby has no chance at survival, than an abortion seems appropriate. If a young girl, I’d say 14 and under gets pregnant, than an abortion seems appropriate once again. And why 14? Why not 15, or 16? Because in my school, kids are already deciding sex is okay to do and I am only 15. Some girls in my school lost their virginity when they were 8th graders. If they are deciding it’s okay to have sex at their age, then they are accepting if by some chance they get pregnant, it’s okay. They give themselves this huge responsibility and take advantage of it.

If you don’t want to risk getting pregnant at such a young age or in general, don’t have sex! Use protection! Get you tubes tied! All these solutions yet no action! Instead girls around the world are murdering. Most don’t see it as murder, but what else would you call it? Getting an abortion is like sucking the life out of someone. It’s the same as going up to someone you don’t wanna be around and strangling them to death, literately.

I’m pregnant, but I don’t want the baby. What do I do? Simplest answer in the world. Have the baby and give it away to those married couples out there who can’t have a baby. It’s a win-win situation. You don’t have a baby to take care of and they get the baby of their dreams! Yes, you have to go through the pregnancy, but you also can ask for a large slump of money to make up for the 9 months. Where would you be now if your mom had an abortion? Think about it.

Most people argue it’s the parents fault they don’t have the sex talk with their teens, yet their teens are having sex. I can’t say all parents have “the talk,” because I don’t know if they do or not. But I know my parents did. My mom did have the talk with me. I didn’t even need the talk, I’m not stupid enough to lose my virginity at 15-years-old. I found out what sex was in 3rd grade from my friend. Everyone knows eventually! So don’t blame your parents. It’s your fault.

I was raped, I got pregnant, now what? This is the toughest scenarios pro-life people get faced with. I admit, that kind of sucks. I can’t argue with someone’s choice of abortion when it comes to this kind of problem. But my opinion is the same. No abortions unless you’re under 14. But with this problem, I can understand raising the age to 16 or 17. But only for this problem. Where do I stand? I think you shouldn’t have the abortion still. I think you should just have the baby and give it up for adoption. Problem solved, you only lost 9 months of your wild life out of an average of 1044 months. You still have a lot of months a freedom honey, so don’t stress.

Now you know my opinion, I want to hear yours. Leave a comment.
